About Dr. Wing

Dr. Richard Wing is a semi-retired Pastor serving the people of Congregational Church of the Valley in Scottsdale, Arizona. Before moving to Scottsdale, he served as Senior Minister of First Community Church in Columbus, Ohio for 23 years. 

Dr. Wing’s main call is preaching. Besides serving his current congregation, he is involved with World Neighbors in Guatemala. This group believes in “giving a hand up, rather than a hand out.” He believes it is important to not only serve the poor, but have an ear for the cry of the poor on a daily basis.

While in Ohio, Dr. Wing, was involved in a ministry to the men on Death Row called, “A Ministry of Presence.” The purpose was to be a voice on the outside to simply talk about whatever the inmate wanted to talk about, from religious thoughts to how the latest iPhone works.   

Dr. Wing has written 4 books and now turns his attention to podcasting, delivering brief but important messages of inspiration and hope.
